For nearly 60 years, Bergmann Center has helped adults with intellectual and
developmental disabilities build friendships, develop life skills, engage in their
communities, and live with greater independence, dignity, and purpose.
A Day in the Life at Bergmann Center
No two days look quite the same.
A day at Bergmann Center might mean exploring a Northern Michigan lake, sharing lunch with friends, lending a hand in the community, or discovering something completely new.
Our programs create opportunities for adults with disabilities to get out, get involved, build friendships—and enjoy the community we all call home.

Adventure is waiting
Trying something new—and
discovering just how much
you can do.

Making some new friends
Community outings bring new experiences, new discoveries
—and sometimes a few goats.

Lunch tastes
better outdoors
Good food, good friends,
and a beautiful day in
Northern Michigan.

Big Macines,
New Experiences
Getting an up-close look at
heavy equipment during a
visit to Harbor Springs
Excavating—another chance
to explore, learn, and
experience something new.
