Education
Be the Impact.

Education is the cornerstone of our program services.  Programs are tailored to fit an individual's need for personal life skills, socialization,  community integration, and provide an avenue for employment.

Intellectual Disability, also known as cognitive disabilities characterized by limited mental capacity and difficulty with adaptive behaviors such as managing money, schedules, routines, or social interactions, directly benefit from specific educational programs offered by the Bergmann Center.  Services may be performed at our Activity Center, the Resale Shop, or in the community,

Educational Supports and Services

At the Bergmann Center, Educational Supports and Services are available to Medicaid clients when medically necessary, or through private pay arrangements. Each program is individualized according to the person’s needs as outlined in their Person-Centered Plan of Service.

Family Support and Training

We do not assess needs or determine eligibility for services. Instead, we serve as a resource and partner to the individuals and families we support through our contracted services. Families are welcomed into our process through intake, where we act as a sounding board and guide. We also provide monthly online or in-person training classes designed to ensure families, guardians, and friends have the knowledge they need to navigate the systems that provide critical services. These sessions cover topics such as Medicaid requirements, person-centered planning, and understanding how services are accessed and delivered.
